The story
PixelBox started in 2019 as a weekend project — we wanted a way to share screenshots without the friction of yet another account. Six years and two billion images later, we're still here, still free, and still allergic to ads.
How we keep it free
We run a single donation-funded infrastructure: a handful of edge nodes, an origin in Hong Kong, and a small team who refuses to add tracking pixels. If you want to chip in, there's a Patreon link in the footer.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no email harvesting, no "verify your phone number".
- No watermarks, no ads, no upselling to "Pro".
- No silent re-encoding — the bytes you upload are the bytes you get back.
